After working in sports education, teaching and consulting for over 12 years, YPSA was formed by professionals wishing to increase the sporting opportunities currently provided for young people. Now able to specifically dedicate time to building effective coaching networks and programmes YPSA seeks to forge long lasting links with schools in the South East of England, working with school management and physical education co-ordinators. YPSA will cover curriculum PE time, extra curricular opportunities and in addition PPA time. Sessions on offer including dance, gymnastics, games, multi-skilled sports as well as traditional and established UK sports such as Netball, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby, Orienteering and Athletics.
All coaches used by YPSA hold a current DBS check, nationally recognised coaching awards and safeguarding knowledge.

Richard Young M.Inst.SRM.Dip - Director
A former Head of PE and Education Consultant Richard has taught both Secondary and Primary aged children in a multitude of sports. He is qualified to Masters degree level in Sports Management, has a degree in Education specialising in Physical Education and holds a Diploma with the Chartered Institute For The Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). Richard works hard to keep current in sports development by actively attending European and Olympic Sports Symposiums with leading and globally recognized researchers.
Richard's other consultancy work included working in Leadership for LOCOG at the 2012 Olympic Games and as a National Facilitator for Sport England's Olympic Legacy Initiative - SPORT MAKERS. He also coordinates the successful England Hockey player pathway - performance centre in Tonbridge. Richard still plays hockey for Sevenoaks and coaches a wide range of ages and has recently been added to England Hockey's coaching workforce team as a Coach Tutor. Coaching contracts (England Hockey qualified) have been for Sevenoaks Men's HC, Sevenoaks Ladies 1st team Indoor and as head coach at Blackheath Ladies Hockey Club. He works in a number of schools and also runs his own academy. In his downtime Richard is Club Captain of Sevenoaks Hockey Club, Head of sports at the Old Suttonian Association England Hockey Masters Coach and snowboarder!
